VCI is an exchange that was created by Professional Independent Mechanical Inspectors for communication, interaction, and commerce with their Clients. VCI was designed to allow each Independent Inspector to post their specific services including coverage areas and fees and allows each Client to select them individually. The relationship between the Client and the Inspector remains direct, adding value for both parties. VCI was developed to give clients control over the selection of the actual inspector, rather than delegating this function to an agency or brokerage. By eliminating the unnecessary layer when possible, clients will receive better service at lower cost with greater control.

VCI is designed to be utilized by experienced Professional Independent Mechanical Inspectors. It is generally an open exchange, but not for the inexperienced at this time. Professional Inspectors working for agencies or for direct Clients will want to be posted on VCI. As more Clients begin using VCI and selecting their preferred Inspector in each area, there will be many opportunities for direct business development and expansion.

There are two sides to VCI. There is an Inspector side and a Client side. The Inspectors post their profile and services, receive assignments, monitor pending inspections, upload reports and photos, issue invoices, and access reports. The clients post their requirements with instructions, monitor pending inspections, process reports and invoices, and access stored records. There are e-mail notifications built into the system and status monitors to insure full communication between the Inspector and the client.

VCI was created to improve the communication and relationship between Inspectors and their Clients and keeping that communication private and secure is a top priority. No information is shared between parties on this platform except where each party directly requests the contact. VCI does not distribute any information from this platform.

As VCI grows and expands, the members of VCI will be able to share resources and information to raise the level of professional development within our industry. We have a vision of creating peer review opportunities to increase the quality and value of our product. We can share knowledge and produce standards to circulate throughout the industry.
